13 Then the people of Israel sent the priest Phinehas son of Eleazar to the people of Reuben, to the people of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh in the land of Gilead. 14 Together with him they sent ten tribal leaders, a leader for each fathers’ house[a] for all the tribes of Israel. Each one was a head of his fathers’ house according to the divisions[b] of Israel.
